Ok people; how far should I be able to go in "EV" mode if there is a full charge on the "big" battery. No wind, flat ground and no stops?

This should be covered in the Service manual: Nicoclub.com/FSM or the owners manual located in your car.

Really depends on your driving style. I can usually get about 1.5 miles if I get up to speed and glide only using the Electric Motors. By glide I mean I am not using the battery or the Engine, I am just keeping the car from regen braking(power meter is at 0). The startup is the killer. That will zap most of the battery away maintaining speed is much easier. Try it out and you will see that the battery is not good for more than 1/2 mile if you are trying to maintain 42mph with the battery.

That's what I noticed, about 1.5 to 2 miles with a lite foot on the peddle.

Just remember that EV driving is not always the most efficient. The energy stored in the batteries comes mostly from the Gas engine.

Ev mode is best use when you are stuck in the traffic or running with local red light traffic, because that is why hybrid advantage about. DO not use during daily driving because it will hurt your battery life. also just like some people wrote already. It will cost you more gas$$, since when your battery runs out the engine will charge your battery by put more power/gas to recharge

I personal think that when you use ev mode you should least keep around 35% of your battery.
