Just read this months issue of Consumers Digest magazine. Intereating article in there stating that they have found many gas stations around the country selling gas with 11-20 percent ethanol added, instead of the maximum 10 percent- seems the ethanol is secretly being added in excess quantities to save $ before it gets to the stations- article said EPA does not have enough inspectors to monitor the fuel quality aound the country.

Maybe this is why so many Q are having injector issues, basically running up to 2x the amont of ethanol allowed?

screwing bastards, how about we use twice as much gasoline to light the gas stations of fire for doing that.

What the screw, Did the magazine name the gas stations that did that?

The article said it was happening at the stage where ethanol is blended with the gasoline- before it ever gets to the gas stations.

My guess is that the gas stations have no idea they are purchasing this junk.

Tests of E20 in Australia and other countries show massive destruction vs even E10.

http://www.environment.gov.au/....html

"Upon introducing these vehicles to a 20% ethanol blend, these deposits are likely be stripped away causing fuel filter blockages and plugging of fuel metering components.

Perishing and swelling of elastomeric and plastic materials making up the fuel system is highly likely on the older vehicle fleet when exposed to E20. The newer fleet may be less likely to show these problems as many of the components are globally sourced and therefore may be compatible with up to 10% ethanol blends providing some element of protection for an E20 blend"
