Has anyone used fuel in their G that uses 10% ethanol? I am currently living in an area where all the fuel is going to start having an ethanol mixture. I thought I read in the owners manual that you could not use this type of mixture.

In Arizona I believe our winter-blend is 10% ethanol - it is the only option for us - at least as far as I know.

Might be worth doing a search for some posts by "Q45Tech" on this topic a month or so ago. The transistion into ethanol enriched fuel can cause a host of problem - mostly water contamination and rust being shed from the fuel tanks. His thought was to replace your fuel filter right before the change-over and then again in a month or two - during the time that the most garbage is likely to be churned up out of the tanks.

i'm pretty sure my owner's manual (06 g35 coupe) says it's okay to use up to a 10 percent ethanol blend...but no more than that.

The major downside [other than water] is the lower BTU of the fuel. This can cause a 3-5% drop in mpg compared to non ethanolized [oxygenated] fuels.

Engine power output is tested [certified in Japan] with custom lab grade fuels and these are very superior to even US conventional available at the pump so expect some reduction but what's a few tenths considering the benefit to farmers and ethanol corporations and truck drivers and railway companies.

All ethanol must be trucked/railed to local city tank farms instead of pipelined as MTBE was [mixed in at refinery].

Also, use ISOHEET (not regular HEET) reasonably regularly to clean out any water in the gas tank and fuel lines. Alcohol absorbs water ...
