Their KA24DE mani is FINALLY ready, actually looks prety decent. A bit expensive (425), but still...great to have another option.

It's a nice manifold... but would have been nicer if a turbo and downpipe was offered.

$425 is a little on the expensive side though... I think theyd net a lot more customers if theyd keep in the $300 range, even if its like $399.

Might anybody be interested in doing a groupbuy on this?

I called the guy at ETD today (Jim) and talked with him for a little bit about the manis and a possible group buy price. He seems like a cool guy- very eager to find out what we think of his product and all that, plus he sounded like he knew what he was talking about.

He's going to get back to me (probably tomorrow he said) about what price we can get if we get some people together to group buy this thing. I actually made another thread about group buy manis (same KA-T section), so check that out and lemmie know watcha think!

Like I said in my previous post, I'd be extremely interested in the product if they offered a turbo and a downpipe. :ylsuper

they dont have a downpipe yet, he said he didnt know when hed be able to do it... but they do sell turbos if you need to buy from the same place for some reason. If you go to the groupbuy thread I made, youll also see that WD offered to make downpipes for this application...

Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like the intake of the turbo might be too close to the distributor. Otherwise, not bad and good to see more stuff for the KA.

Would have been nice if they could have separated the flanges too. its a nice looking manifold tho but thats tru about it looks close to the distributor. mine is close too, the intake pipe atcually touches the spark wires.

if its anything like the F-Max kit, all you have to do is run an angled intake pipe like I do.I think it looks like one of the better manifold I've seen(placement). As far as how it holds up I'm not sure but it looks pretty rock solid. My intake pipe is really close to my distributo but it works. All you need is a nice 3" mandrel bent pipe to make the necessary turn. Here's mine with the F-Max kit and you'll see how close it is but it clears:

hey guys.. I arranged a group buy on these manifolds- the details and the specific post are under review by the mods right now so more on that later (or just contact me), but the distrib looking like its in the way is more the camera angle than anything. Here's a better pic:

You can see from this angle that the distrib isnt really gonna cause you any problems at all.

I've been waiting for them to finish these things. I actually just emailed them to get more info on shipping and the details about it. I wanna be in on the group buy... the only thing is that I have to have my project completed by March 20th, so I would have to get them quick.

When you spoke with him did he say whether or not they have any completed manis in stock or if we would have to wait for them to be made?

That manifold looks awesome for $425 I think--MUCH better than the rev-hard manifold, and it comes coated too! If mine wasn't working perfectly (knock on w00d), I'd be in on this group-buy.

The canadians always seem to be helping us out--first PDM racing and now this place

FYI: the group buy has been mod-approved and it's back up.

as far as having the manis in stock and a possible completion date, I think you're gonna have to call Jim about that. The phone number is 905-473-5022. Thatd be AWESOME if youd be in the group buy.. we'd be within 1 person of the first level: 5 people. I suggest you call Jim and see whats up!
