Well I have been lurking on Japanesse Yahoo auctions for a few days and found some lowering springs for our G50s. Does anyone have these on this forum ? Anyone heard anything bout them ? I found sets going for 20,900 YEN and got someone in Japan to send em over for me.

Are these the Active Super Down (progressive style) or the Active GT (30% stiffer)?

They're in both Super GT as well as LeMans style racing. They are also in the "drift" world. They also make bump stops for the G50. You can check out their site http://www.espelir.jp.co or a US Distributor http://www.mackinindustries.com . Seem to be well liked by the S2000 guys from some reading/research I've done.

My guy in Japan can get them for 28000 Yen, which means 250 bux roughly as the exhange rate varies from day to day. Would anyone be interested in a set ? It lowers bout 1.5" front and 1.25 in the rear. They are the Active Super Down springs. I wanna save on shipping as for 60 dollars shipping it will take approx 2 months to get them here, which is way too long of a time to wait around for me.

I think the key is to make sure theyre not too stiff for the tokicos... I think that these california customs are just a little too strong for the tokicos..... but its still manageable...

Its it possible that the springs can damage the shocks? Or will it just make the ride stiffer?

I can feel everything in the road. I don't know if its my tokicos or the springs?

What are the spring rates on the Cal customs ? This would tell us how much stiffer or softer Espelir springs are compared to these and OEM. Espelir are progressively wound springs- meaning harder they are the more compressed they are.

Is there anyone else that has installed the Cal Customs. Or that has the spring rating.

I do not want to potentially damage my struts again. Anything would be helpfull.

Sounded as if you thought the speings damaged them and that you were no longer were running them and wanted something else.

Well I just bought a new set of blues for the springs. I did not know if I was the first to use them. Wes had them for along enough time for them to start to settle. If there was a chance of damage I would want to run a new setup. But I think i will be ok.

Definitely youll be OK.. These springs are hardly different in any way than the eibachs, and those are proven long term (on my car and others) to be perfectly safe. they may just wear out the shocks faster (say 30k vs 60k with stock springs)... The onyl difference is that all 4 on these are progressive and only the rears are progressive on the eibachs...

Theres a place you hold the shock at the top of the shock, and the mechanic probably held it at the bottom!! Its not an uncommon mistake to make, my person has done it before a couple times (i didnt install the springs on the shocks, but did install them in the car).
