Anyone know anything about the Escort Passport SR7?

I've read some good reviews about. I'll need professional installation since it appears to be a bit sophisticated. I can buy it for b/t 250 - 300. It is new and never been used. This price appears to be a steal....

I look forward to your comments. Thanks.

just based on price of $600-1000+ it seems to be a steal... i like the front and back laser detectors mounted in the plates. i personally think this is over kill though. the radar detector module looks huge... trying to think were you would mount that in a g35... if you put it behind the grill its actually too low to be more effective or "better" than your non modularized radar detector. The higher up you can get your radar detector the better. then the display also looks huge too... so it would have to be integrated into the dash very well to look nice. after a little more research i see good reviews from 2003-2005 and the SRX version has an award in 2001) It brags about "Safety Warning System" which is barely or not even used now a days. it looks to be a good system based on the reviews i have read. i suspect the price you were given is low because there is a way better system out now, he Passport 9500ci, and the professional install required. But i doubt you beat that price anywhere, then if you can get it installed cheap you got a real steal.

Escort and Valentine both make great products. I have used both for quite some time, and I also used both at the same time for a month or so to do a comparison.

The V1 has arrows, which makes it a lot nicer. You know which direction to look.

Neither has decent laser (lidar) coverage. It would warn me after I had already been clocked. If you have a lot of cops sitting and lasering, them you will be SOL.

If you have a lot of speeding ticket cameras, and radar is still used a lot, they are awesome and can give you on average half a mile of notice, depending on terrain.

Thanks very much for the responses. The more I think about it, I think I may lean to the Escort Passport SRX model as if includes laser diffusers. Installation is expensive on this...$400 on the G37...I'll have to save a bit for this!
