Escort 8500 x50 problems with it not being Loud Enough Trust me Its not

I recently picked up an escort 8500 x50 after many recomendations from people on this forum, anyways to cut this short I was picked up today leaving work. My escort picked up the radar the cop was using but having the music up just a bit over half I didnt hear it. I got a ticket because of this. anyone have any info on how to tweak it up.etc possibly an external speaker?

I'm guessing you set it to "loud" as well as having it all the way up?.

I got a speeding ticket today too. But the speed measurment device was "sight", so that should be one I can get out of easily.

i think its not that the escort wasnt loud i dont think they made it to over power the radio
