errr need a little help. ignition lock question!!! please help

ok i just picked up my new 240 and i am changing out all the locks on the car (hatch, doors and ignition). well i took all the locks out without a problem BUT, for some reason i cannot get the ignition lock out . does anyone know how to take it out/off? i dont think it make a difference but its a 1990 manual transmission. ive look at, tried to shift it off, everything i could think of for about an hour and half!!!! please if anyone knows how to take it off or can point me in the right direction id greatly appreciate it!.

The ignition lock is a P.I.T.A. You have to punch out the "security" screws, because they're designed to break when installed. You can drill them out, or get a good punch and hammer and work them out, but either way, they're not going to be re-usable.
