quick question guys, sent my S14 to Nissan over the winter and they ran diagnostics on it and found error code P0171. Left bank lean, I believe. Told me the intake gaskets neede replacing for $750. Car runs and pulls hard with no hesitations, makes me think it's just a sensor. What else could it be besides the gaskets? and wouldn't my car run like shnitt if that was the case?

96 S14 SE 136K miles, recent work; drop in K&N, minor leak fixed on fuel rail.

Thanks, -Niz-

That post doesnt apply to his car. Yes it could be the airflow meter, but it is more common for a vaccum leak on the 240 to cause this. The car wont neccesarily run poorly since it could be a very small leak.

thanks, I'll check into it. Any of the vacuum lines notorious for going in this car?

The intake gasket is likely your vaccum leak. But I have also seen egr base plate gasket leaks on them too.
