Ive seen a video of someone replacing a JWT eprom with a CZP eprom, I read that JWT was the best. I just want to know which will make my Na more powerful. Yes i know doing anyting to an na is stupid but right now I dont have the money to do the swap, however it WILL happen soon. right now im just trying to see what an na can do. which is the best? I am thinking of going with CZP. I tried looking up a comparison of all three but couldnt find it so i decided to make one:)

You will need to get the ECU socketed, I have a CZP with no issues. Any will be about the same, is just a generic tune. Now if you can get it dyno tuned, that is where you will get the difference.

Yeah I forgot to mention that. It will be socketed bc I read that just straight up soldering it to the board will damage it, so I'm gunna do that.

Another question is if I switched the eprom and did nothing else to it, will it be okay for my engine? Like no det? I read that jwt increases the chance for det in an engine.

I thought about getting it dyno tuned, but worried that it will drop my mpg drastically. There is something called an x3 performance chip that hooks into the o2 sensors and breaks the maf sensor wire, (from the sensor to the chip to the Ecu) and it alters the maf data based off of the o2 sensors (if low o2 sensor readings then it will I guess use less fuel, and high o2 readings then trick the Ecu to dump more fuel in it, got some good reviews for it though). Thinkin about it but seems sketchy, but sounds promising for $150.

Besides that, is there a way, after I get it dyno tuned, to get a switch to choose between high performance and conservative mode? I think I've seen one that includes a clock and you get an Ecu chip, clock, and something else, but it was way out of my price range. I only ask because it's my daily driver, I'm not too worried about it, if not then it's whatever I can live with the eprom and dyno tune. And I also saw that upgrading injectors will help too.

One more question is where's a good place to dyno tune? I live in southern Maryland. How much would it be and what's included? Is it's main purpose to get the max power out of the car it could get?

Thanks in advance!!

So you want more power but afraid your MPG will increase:( Sorry but you need more fuel for more power.
Also if you are not familiar with a soldering iron, I wound not attempt at socketing the ECU, its a pretty delicate task. Swapping out a reputable eprom will not cause any issues. Upgrading injectors on NA is not going to give you more power, unless you run nitrous. Lastly, dont expect much power from the eprom. If I was to do it again, I would have saved the money on a TT swap, which I was doing anyways. IMHO a waste of money for an NA.
