I had my eprom done by jestr tuning(C-rads friend) and they did a real clean job.

best1tuning.com does

are you looking to chip your ECU that is already socketed or do you need it socketed too?

In stock form the EEPROM is soldiered directly into the board. Most of the time when you get a chip installed, they will soldier in a "socket" that allows you to quickly remove and install the EEPROM's so that you don't have to de-soldier and soldier in a chip every time you want to change the chip out.

Makes sense. I just e mailed best1 for a quote. I'm assuming its going to be like $300, but it will be worth it. So you guys trust these guys with your tune? Do they usually do a great job?

There are quite a few companies:

drdrift.com-austrailianorrisdesigns.com-europebest1motoring-U.S.jimwolf technologies-U.S.

That all i can remeber off the top of my head. If you plan on changing your setup as the years go by definatly get a socketed ecu. Do not ever buy an ebay chip.

Best1 wants $375 shipped for mine. $100 after that for a retune. But I think he's installing it with a socket too.

I can vouch for BEST1TUNING, his work is awsome and his soon to be released inventions for OEM ECUs are rad! I can't wait for him to retune for my new setup T28R+HKS 256s

I got my EEPROMs and my ZIF socket, chip burner, and even my EPROM Emulator from http://moates.net. You will want to grab a DE-soldering iron from Radioshack, and a good, hot soldering iron as well to install the ZIF socket.
