EPROM chip help!

Hey just joined and need'n sum help already! I have a 95 se that i just swapped a new KA into. I bolted on a header and the CAT was already gutted< still got the factory exhaust pipe though with a dynomax muffler. I've been told that i needed to have the computer reprogramed because of the ehaust. They sell one on ebay that takes the place of the factory EPROM. Are these any good?
