Well, at ~8:00 PM today I finished the wireing on the S13 Rb25 swap. I hooked up the battery and turnded the key. It fired right up! The RPM's settled around 1200 after 30 seconds or so. We are SO excited!!!

The driveshaft is installed allong with a set of custom brackets that move the front sway bar slightly lower to clear the oil pan. We only have two things to do before taking the car out for a test drive. 1 hook up the heater core lines and 2 mount the intercooler.

If you are in NC in the next few weeks and a white 240 with rust on it revs sitting at a light, you may wat to think twice

Udate videos will be available tomorrow

One quick question,

When you guys started up your engines after they arrived was there any oil in the turbocharger? I have a feeling the compressor seal is blown on this turbo. Its more like an oil squirter than a turbo I am hopeing maybe the engine was laying on its side during shipment and the oil seeped slowly into the compressor housing. Man it made a mess of the intercooler pipes! I suppose Ill find out tomorrow.

Wow you are SO close! I look forward to meeting up and checking out your car. Is it a hatch or trunk car?

I dont really have spare time to drive down and check out the wireing for you this week since I have to finish this S13, another V6 turbo MR2 AND a 7MGTE swap into a MKII supra. After those are done I have to wire a 1JZ-GTE harness into a MKIII supra. So, I should have some free time by wed or thurs next week. Get with me on AIM jimpersek or call me during the week if you need some help. A LOT of the documentation online is confusing and Ill be happy to help you if I can.

I wouldent mind hooking everything up for you. We work on nissans aswell, not just toyotas. I even built a KA-T a few years ago. This is the kind of stuff our shop does. Many of our jobs are things other shops have given up on.

There is really no need to bring the car to the shop since it will still have to wait for me to finish other jobs before getting to yours anyway. I will be happy to come down there to figure it out. I may be able to give you some pointers if you have a multimeter. For example, my RB ECU would not close the ECCS relay for some reason. Also the lower wireing harness in the 93 240sx had some ground wires that were the same color as the Skyline power wires and I could not find the documentation for that! What the hell was nissan thinking!

I do remember brians car at the shop. I think they were calling it the chistmass tree. I tried to convince him to swap out a few more body pannels so it would look like a bruse.

My Turbo did that too. Ran it for like 1min and oil was dripping from the exhaust side and then a coolent/oil mix came out the outlet on the turbo ha. oh well...stock turbo sucks anyway lol.

Well, I held the motor near redline for about 30 seconds and all the nasty old oil that was sitting in the turbo seems to have blown out of the compressor. Either there is a small amount of oil leaking past the seal at idle or the motor was shipped on its side and the oil drained into the compressor side.

This thing sounds badass, like a diesel on crack! I cant wait for the intercooler and pipes to arrive tomorrow so we can do an on road shake down.

Well here ya go, a video of the thing in action. Note the rats nest I had to deal with due to the cut harness! You may also hear a clanging sound when the car moves a bit. Thats a wheel stud that was loose and fell behind the rotor. I got it out after we shot this clip for you fellas.
