I bought a set of stock engine mounts off someone because one of my stock ones broke when I took the ka out. He sent me 2 of the same ones. One stud is supposed to be offcentered and the other should be centered. He sent me both centered ones so one of the mounts was about an inch off when the engine was almost all the way in.

Then I tried taking a mount off my friends rhd front clip in my driveway and tried for about a half hour but the screwing thing wouldn't come off so I got fed up with it and went inside. All my tools are screwin laying around the garage and I don't even know where my cell phone is.

Now I need another new mount. Anyone have one they wanna sell me for real cheap?

Ahh, the joys of working on old cars. I've been there several times bro.

Well I put all my tools away, cleaned the garage a little and found my cell phone. Emailed the guy I got the mounts from and he said he can mail me the correct mount I need.

But can anyone tell me which side the offcentered one goes on? When I took the ka out the offcentered was on the drivers side and the centered was on the passanger side.

Just want to make sure you don't have to switch them around or anything

Damn that blows. Just spent the day swapping an SR into my buddy's s14 and IIRC the offcenter one was on the driverside.

Yeah, that's what I thought cause I still have the original mount in the passanger side and it's centered and the one that broke off was the offset. Just wanted to make sure the sr would mount up to that and I don't have to mount them the opposite way or anything.
