Long story short, i was drilling through the rad support and the wiring harness decided to move back into the way after i secured it out of the way and i nicked it, cutting 3 wires, 2 solid orange and one fat white one.

i joined them with some wire laying around to see if i could hastily fix it but no such luck.

car wont start, engine doesnt crank, no instrument panel lights come on when i try to start it. all other electronics work though

what the hell do i do?

replace the entire harness or just fix the wires?if its the latter whats the gauge for the wires?ka24de engine if that helps, if you need any other info let me know.

Check the fuses.

If you drill/cut through the body and wires, you create a connection between the polarity's and this typical causes a short out.

Check the fuses first. I did the same thing you did (I was trying to relocate the radiator brackets) and it turned out to be just two fuses that needed to be replaced. It only takes a few minutes.

any suggestions as to which fuses to specifically check, or just check em all?

Why the hell wouldn't you check all the fuses? It takes minutes.

This really isn't a big deal. Find the wires you cut through, and re-connect them. What more is there to it?

Check them all, I don't know what wires you may have hit. I only hit two on mine. There aren't many fuse boxes, start with the ones in the engine bay.

Also make sure all of the wires have been wired back together and they aren't exposed or touching the metal body, or else you'll just keep popping fuses.

Also, why were you drilling through your rad support? Hood pins?

haha you think you failed? a few weeks ago I was installing a fan controller behind the passenger headlight, and as I was drilling I checked and though there was enough room between the metal I was drilling through and the battery, but apparently there wasn't. needless to say I found out whats inside of a car battery. Its just a careless mistake, and more of them will happen

Check the main alt 75amp fuse in the passenger side of the engine bay, you most likely popped it.

If the wires are hooked up correctly, it has to be a fuse blown. check ALL fuses in the engine bay and under the dash

Why do you need to drill into the radiator support to install hood pins?

I had the silvia conversion done on an old coupe with a carbon fiber hood and I was able to use the existing holes in the frame. I didn't need to do any drilling.

Same with the pop up front end with a carbon hood. I didn't need to drill at all.

none of the holes are symmetrical, and the few that are, arent big enough.Plus i was just testing the bit to see how well it would work, and we all know how that turned out.

anyways holes are now drilled, pins installed, now all i have to do is drill through the hood.

looked in the passenger side fudebox and the FL30A IGN SW fuse is blown, will inspect the rest of the fuseboxes after some burgers.
