You are very lucky. My homeboy with a fully built SR20 (CP piston, JUN rods, Crower valvetrain, HKS cams, etc..) spent a ton for the motor but his car has been sitting in my yard for months now because of Enthalpy. When we had the motor in, he had a PowerFC with Commander that got the car running somewhat decent. When he ordered an Enthalpy tune and sent the ECU off, the tune came back bad. He bought another Z32 MAFs, and the car still dies off as soon as it fires up. Plugs in my N60 MAFS and car idles..wtf? He's emailed Enthalpy over and over again with no luck. Mind you..this guy is pretty knowledgeable and doesnt sound like a dumbass, as Im sure Scott gets plenty of those emails. Anyways...Pass forward a month, my friend gets impatient and bought 2 chips from some guy with the same setup that's worked for 2 years. I put in chip and the car goes in limp mode and smokes its a55 off. I suspect it's the Deatschwerks injectors since some people have received bad ones. Some of the local Nissan tuners and dyno shop guys came to look at it. No dice. This one guy came over this weekend and said the same EXACT sh-t happened to him...car smokes its a55 off and in limp mode. He emailed Scott over and over, and they keep telling him to check the MAFS and wire and other shananigans for two months. Scott (or the other kid there) told the guy to send the chips back, Scott sent out antoher set and his car ran fine without ever explaining what was wrong.

Not bad mouthing RS-enthalpy but from what I've seen personally, I would NEVER get an enthalpy tune unless I live in SFL or he lists a phone number Sorry for the long post.

Its a shame, it seemed like for a good while his tunes were more valuable than gold, they ran great, and everything was awesome. Me not understanding a lot about tuning, that option for management was like hitting the lottery...twice. We really need a big name company to do tunes liek this that are plug-in-play. You tell them exactly what you have, they send you a tune CLOSE to what it should be ( yes i know every car is diffrent, thats why you make them a bit conservative, but nothing like a JWT.) Im not bad mouthing JWT and he has a great product, but its the only other comparison i have. I would gladly pay more than the 500 price of a JWT or enthlapy tune... just having that headache out of the way with something plug and play, thats going to be proven is worth it to me. In short we need Enthlapy tunes...but with just a higher output/customer service/ that a big company can deliver, consistently. (I am in know way attacking RS-Enthlapy).... But can anyone tell me why a company dosent do this... the demand is clearly there... Also sorry for diverting from Florida240sx..posts/issue.... Im still waiting to see his outcome as well. just my .02

Even when my car was messing up by being choked out the tune was dead on....It's electronics. Things go bad. It was probably a part malfunction. First thing he did to my car was take out the chips, erase them, and then reprogram it. took less than 5 minutes. here is my car now zerothread/208978

I thought it was an ecu problem, but seems to be mechanical.... Will find out soon when I hit the dyno again...this time at 17psi not 10

There is a ka kit for sale for 1400 in classifieds right now. Trying to get my friend to buy it, if I wasn't going to do vg30dett in my vert I would of bought right now.

Florida240sx, How are you running your piping, draw through or blow through? I remember talking to you at the enjuku meet about the issues. Where do you go for the dyno tune?

What issues are you still having? I've been having the only problems with my setup as far as idle and stall issue. What are your settings for Dec. air for the atmos BOV?
