im going to order my enthalpy ecu for the boost designs stage 2 kit but i have so many questions and boostdesigns is to hard to get ahold of(i know the merge). first off, why does he only want s13 ecus as core and how much will he charge without a core? also i can get a soch s13 ecu if thats acceptable. second my car is a 98 240sx. the ecu i have is obdII. i need to know if the ecu scott enthalpy will send me is obdII (96-up) or if it came from a 95 becuase i think i must run either an obdI or obdII z32 maf. my last question is how long is the down time on these ecu's. i figure over a month. that is why im ordering th ecu this week and the kit in a few weeks. i read on ka-t org forums of ppl bad mouthing pj for taking so long and no response and bs like that. i have respect so i have no problem doing business with bd as long as i am aware of the state of my order. thanks in advance on my questions

Mark -

Sounds like those are questions for enthalpy, rather than PJ.

BTW, I talked to PJ today, he'll be a lot less busy real soon (got most of the "hassles" of the merger out of the way - finally).

I believe the harness required to convert S13 ECU to S14 ECU is still not available so it will be on backorder for a while now I think...

Last I heard it was a 6 month wait on the back log of harness'es. JWT and Enthalpy. maybe PJ or someone can clear this up.

yeah i emailed enthalpy and scott said s14 ecus are in back order untill mid august. dammit. i want to order the boost designs stage 2 kit but i really want to run that ecu. any suggestions on a cheaper fuel management for the time being so i can order the kit and wait for the ecu tune. im leaning for the s-afc2, but i dont know if it will handle the extra air from the z32 maf. theres always an fmu if i just keep the boost low until i get the ecu. what do you guys think?

I met up w/ Scott last Sat. I was running his 1st ever KA-T tune and upgraded to his latest. He said it'd be until July until new harnesses come in.

The only thing I can complain about is the loss of using the OBD console port. It was useful to run scanners to troubleshoot.

The good news is that the mail-order ECUs are about 90% of the performance of a dyno-tuned ECU, so he states.

JWT was good, Enthalpy Beta was great, Enthalpy's latest version is super!

thanks good info. i cant wait. can i use an obd1 maf with his no obd ecu? loosing that port does kinda suck but you cant have cake and eat it to.
