Well this weekend I was doing some work on the 240 replacing the Turbo inlet gasket. For about an hour or two I was hearing some car racing around the neighborhood squealing tires and what now, but I didn’t think anything of it. So im elbow deep in trying to wrestle the manifold out of the engine bay when I hear tires screeching, I look up and see a car sitting at the stop sign smoking the tires (car was a Dodge Durango). Then while still smoking the tires he starts flying off the line and tries to make a hard left but with the back tires still spinning he starts to "drift' around the turn. At this point in time Im looking at the car and the new curb thinking, “Uh dude you’re not going to make it."

About that point in time the rear right tire slams into the curb and the car gets launched into the air. It flips once or twice and lands on the roof. I start running over and dive on the ground to see if anyone is still in the car and I see a white a** crawling out the drivers’ side. I get back up and see if he’s ok and get back on the ground to turn the engine off and see if anyone else was stuck in the car. Once I stuck my head in on the drivers’ side I got a nice whiff of beer.

The driver was fine other than being a retard but from what I’ve herd you can’t fix stupid. The driver was a 19 year old kid w/ no license and it wasn’t his car. Best part he was supposed to be leaving for the army in 2 weeks... Guess that’s not gonna happen.

When we figured out that he was ok my neighbor called the cops and I was standing talking to him. Honestly I felt bad for him, my neighbor ripped him a new one and no one would talk to him. So I gave him a cig and told him what happened b/c he said he didn’t remember. He asked me if I thought he was going to jail, and this is how the converstion went:

Kid: Man do you think im going to jail?Me: Dude how much have you had to drink?Kid: Not that much.Me: Ya dude your f***ed.Kid: No man i canMe: Ya dude you are.

Anyways that’s what happened this weekend, all In all not too bad, no one was hurt and I got some entertainment.

Where the car hit.

This is about where i was working on the car.

thats insane...its good you are able to enjoy and share the story of this fail kid, people like him could create a far worse scenerio. 19 no license and driving around a vehicle that wasnt his and drunk obviously beyond comprehension... its just mind blowing to me for someone to live that out of control.

Wow. I'd hate to be that Durango's owner. I can picture the driver telling the owner he had a little trouble "turning it over"

True. When the cops arrived some lady pulled up and said that he almost side swiped her, so it could have been alot worse. BTW that lady had 3 kids in the car

Pretty cool you didn't stand there and yell at the guy. It HAS to suck already to be in that position without anyone talking to you.
