Track only for me. Getting arrested, my license suspended, car impounded, and paying $1,000+ in fines = not worth it to me!

considering how the vast majority of nico seems to feel that street racing is illegal and stupid, this thread will only result in comments such as the previous posts. Many feel threads like this are immature, just becareful next time.

Ill reply with a few stories...

First off, I believe I can drive well and trust myself in many situations, yet I know my limitations as to what I feel safe doing. I also will not race with passengers. I also dont race through traffic or on busy streets. Mostly from a 45-65 roll because my 1st>2nd syncro is gone.

First story. My buddies 96 integra (JDM Type-r front end) built b18c1 gsr motor, pistons, rods, crank, oversized valves. The only thing not yet done are cams, springs, and a ecu. First 2 races he walked me pretty good until about 110mph then I slowly started gaining ground but I hit the speed cut before I could catch him. I had a small boost leak which caused a cut-out every now and then. Well a few days later he wants to race again, Well by this time I have found the leak. (stock BOV not being hooked up at all leaks) and have turned up the boost to about 12 pounds. This race Its a whole different story. We start in second gear at close to 50mph. I cant even hear the honks over his obnoxiously loud exhaust, He jumps, I clutch kick a lil to help get the rpms up. Hit 65 mph shift to third chirp the tires a lil, and by now his bumper is at my door, thrid starts winding out at around 110mph hes about a half car back now, into fourth for about 2 seconds until I hit the speed limiter at which time he is about a 1- 1 1/2 cars back. Gotcha b***h <(chappelle show quote).

Other kills!95' n/a z32 with hard pipes, filter, and cat-back. 86 trans-am with exhaust ( 305 v-8 ) lots of the ricer civics around town96 s-10 ( 4.3 v6, 5-spd) with cat-back and k&n, faster then what you would expect!!! Lt1 camaro z28 bone stock ( very close, by about a half car)

Last night I was also playing around with a 04+ mustang GT on the highway. It was completely stock and the guy had two passengers. We were doing about 80-85 and he punched it I dropped to 3rd and stayed right there with him, hit 4th and we were dead even I was slowly pulling, then speed limiter and I was done. At the exit ramp he gave a thumbs up and said "that car was alot faster then he would have thought, and it didnt sound like a normal 4-banger" I smilied and gave a thumbs up.

Please if you have nothing nice to stay, then say nothing at all.

Not a race story because I like many people on here believe street racing is a dumb idea.

Just after I finished my swap I started my CA up in my garage and it had a vaccum leak so I had to keep the revs up briefly to keep it from stalling, needless to say I went a little higher in the rev range then needed, and my neighbor happened to be walking by. I was running open downpipe at the time so the motor sounded pretty mean, my neighbor walked up to my garage (I figured he was going to complain about the noise). Here's the conversation we had.

Neighbor: Hey that motor sounds nastyMe: Umm okay?Neighbor: No I mean that in a good way, does that thing have a big block in it?Me: Nope, just a 4-cylinderNeighbor: Bulls**tMe: I bulls**t you notNeighbor: So it's what like a 3.5, 4.0L?Me: Nope, 1.8LNeighbor: What kinda car is thisMe: NissanNeighbor: D*mn I gotta go buy me one of these *walks away*

I thought it was funny
