"Enter" button seems to not work well

My "enter" button on Navi console, soometimes need to be pushed three or more times, and sometimes when you push it to enter something it jumps around, and then you have to move it back. I hve an 03 M45. Anyone else have this problem? Any solution? Cost?

I have a 2003 M45 too, and I have not seen this issue on my car. Of course, when I am driving, then it is not always easy to ensure that the enter button does not twiddle sideways - when hitting a road bump or something.

But, whenever I get a positive tactile feedback ("click" if you will), then the action definitely occurs. I do not have to press multiple times.

Sounds like a trip to the dealer is needed - hope your car is under warranty. Repairs to the electronics in the Nav and console area appear to be fairly expensive apparently.

We have decided that we are going to get extended warranties on all new car purchases when we get any fancy electronics and then also selling the car before the miles/years are up. No reason to create a situation where we have expensive repairs when the cars are old ... not when the cost of the repairs might be way more than the net value of the car down the road!
