I went to a dyno yesterday with my rb20. Wanted to get a before/after figures when I put my turbo kit on. With 3" straight exhaust, @ 10psi I hit 196 RWHP. I thought I would at least hit 200....Any opinions on that?

That's about the same that another guy I know did. I kinda thought it was a little low too.

According to everything I've ever researched...that's about what you would expect from a stock swap. That's not too shabby at all.

take your old crap cat out, I had 140 hp with stock cat and stock exhaust. Put in a test pipe and an RS*R exhaust, 220whp on a mustang dyno, something is clogged

mustang dynos read a little higher than dynojet

and about 200whp is normal for a rb20. what are you expecting? the engine is dirt *** cheap for a reason

Yeah, not really sure what you were expecting at stock boost on an old *** stock engine rated at ~215bhp....

if you are making 180-190whp on a mustang dyno then you are doing good as the motor is rated at 215bhp and if you do the math it works back to be around that at the fly.

IMHO, mustang dyno's are correct and dyno jets just read higher. Has anyone had to re-fine tune their engine at the track because it is different on the dyno jet? You'll never have to change anything because a mustang dyno takes into account real-time conditions and calculates them. Not sure what % of a difference is but I've heard about 15% difference between the two. Although heavily bias, the guy at the mustang dyno put it like this

"if you want bragging numbers go to a dyno jet, if you want actual numbers, come here"

Itssorta like saying you have 255 hp ..... but its at the flywheel instead of the wheels, woopy do!
