Enjuku Racing is now offering SPEC Clutches at a NICO discount and throwing in FREE SHIPPING on top of it! SPEC has been tailoring to the import market for many years now and have had great luck with their Nissan clutch kits. This is the same brand clutch we are running in our two Formula Drift cars, and love them.

SPEC offers 5 stages with a range of different characteristic depending upon what need you have. Here is the breakdown.

STAGE 1: High clamp pressure plate, steel-backed and multi-compound woven organic material and high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearing and tool kit. Stock-like daily drivability and very good wear characteristics.

STAGE 2: High clamp pressure plate, pure Kevlar friction material and high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearing and tool kit. Stock-like daily drivability and EXCELLENT wear characteristics.

STAGE 2+: High clamp pressure plate, composite multi-friction carbon-kevlar material, high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearing and tool kit. Maintains stage 2 feel for good daily drivability and offers very good wear characteristics, but provides a higher torque capacity.

STAGE 3: High clamp pressure plate, 6 puck carbon semi-metallic friction with high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearing and tool kit. Offers sufficient daily drivability with a comfortable pedal feel and quick engagement. Offers good wear characteristics under low and high stress usage.

STAGE 3+: High clamp pressure plate, full-faced carbon metallic friction, high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearing and tool kit. Offers good daily drivability and better manageability than the stage 3, with even better wear characteristics.

STAGE 4: High clamp pressure plate, 3,4 or 6 puck carbon semi-metallic friction with high torque rigid hub and carrier assembly, bearing and tool kit. Not street-friendly due to harsh engagement.

STAGE 5: High clamp pressure plate (adjustability available on some applications), rigid iron disc assembly, bearing and tool kit. Not street-friendly due to harsh engagement.

Now THIS is a score!

Not only do you get to do business with one of NICO's "O.G." sponsors (and one of the coolest companies in import tuning), but you also get to support SPEC, who is another NICO sponsor!!!

Which Spec clutch would you guys recommend for a KA24DE with a goal of 375+ ftlbs of torque? This is the last piece to my puzzle before putting the engine back in.

screw ENJUKU all i asked them for was a hotshot header. after 2 months they still couldn't tell me where it was or even why it was taking so long. then i asked them if they had the tein s-tech springs with kyb struts in stock (so that i could transfer my cash towards them) they said "yeah we have them in stock" so i switched my order to just that. and ya know what, that took another two months to get to me. so yeah screw ENJUKU

well that's great that they're nice guys or whatever, but when i tell them i have a problem and that it's been researched and checked out by a career driveline tech who's been into 240's for years who has seen this exact problem many times, they tell me i'm stupid and he doesn't know what he's talking about and SPEC is god and perfect and the only thing i can do is send it in and they'll look at it.

well, if you could LOOK at 6 hub springs and see that one wasn't quite the right rate or strength, then i wouldn't have gotten a bad spring in the first place. "well, we can't install every one and test it to make sure that kind of thing is perfect. then it wouldn't be new." of course, but you could at least help me out. then they tell me the machine shop must have machine my flywheel untrue. WTF? it's not exactly a hard job. i can almost do it with my eyes closed. that's why it's clamed on the lathe . . . it's a fairly well-known fact that this indeed is the problem. so until they decide to deal with me like a human being, i'll keep telling people where SPEC can stick it. i'm buying an Exedy next time. it's like the Honda of clutches in my book. never had so much as a peep of a problem with one.

they could have sacrificed the whole $50 or less it probably costs them to make the disc and i wouldn't be a bugger, but they told me i'm an idiot and the smart guy i talked to is an idiot and my favorite machine shop owner is an idiot, too. thanks, SPEC.

Umm yeah my stage 2 all of the rivets sheared off on the disc and the clutch separated into 3 pieces. This happened with the stock sr turbo (no where near 380 torque).

Enjuku: Any way you can sell me just the disc? I think I can re-use my pressure plate.

If so, how much shipped to 32578?

Wrong way to handle this dude.... And in the wrong thread. I ordered a set of kouki tails from them over the phone and got it in less than a week.

I emailed Enjuku about the Stage 3+ clutch for the KA they have listed in this thread for $415. They emailed me back and told me they only offer the Stage 3 and Stage 5 for the KA, and the Stage 5 would be $435 shipped.

Someone might want to update the stages available and prices listed in this thread so this doesn't happen to someone else.

Hmmm. Do you remember who you were talking with about it? I think someone here may have been confused. We have hired on some new people as of late that don't know ALL the ropes yet. I know we don't have all listed on the main site, but I can still get you any.

I can do prices listed in this thread. If for some reason you are getting different info, give me a call and ask for me specifically. I'll iron it out.

Sorry about any confusion!

Also, mmm240 - sorry to hear about your problems. If there is anything that I can do to take care of you for the past mixup I will do my best to win your business again. We have grown pretty substantially the past couple years, and I'll be honest there have been some growing pains and some things overlooked on occassion. If there is anything that you think I can do parts or non-parts related let me know. Please email me directly at [email protected]. I have given the shop away before to make past customers happy, and I'll do it again for you.

Thanks guys for your continued support.

Haven't heard anything from these guys, sooooo.....I went with an e-bay flywheel and am in the process of doing a writeup on it. I'm also going with the competition clutch stage 4 that AMSperformance.com offers.

Special is still on for those that are interested. Will be continued until notified otherwise.

If you need to get at me directly shoot me an email to [email protected]

Business is super busy for us right now so I can't devote as much time to NICO as I have hoped.

Thanks again for all the support everyone, and if you are in Miami this weekend come see and our three cars at the NOPI Drift event on Saturday and Sundy @ Dolphin Stadium!
