Alright I have looked and searched for a while with no help.

This is my setup

Greddy VSPL, Enjuku Hotpipe (ARGGG) , and Greddy Type S on a Black top S13 SR20DET.

I thought that the hotpipe should have a nipple to run a vacuum line to the wastegate, but mine does not have one. I complained to Enjuku Racing about this and got a half assed response.

They said that they had trouble with the first batch of pipe with the "nipples" coming loose and falling off. So they decided not to put them on the newer ones.

Kinda pissed off about the whole thing. Also when I got the pipe the damn flange was on sideways. Accoding to them I can just unscrew the flange and put it on the right way.

Overall I am very dissapointed with them. After all the good things I have heard about them on the various forums, I buy this POS. And the only thing they can say is "Sorry" Well they got my last $$$.

I have heard 2 things I can do.

#1 "t" off my vacuum line going to the BOV#2 Use the line that is supposed to go to my cannister and cap off the canister.

Which is the best route to go. I have already ran the lines under option #1. I hope to get the car started tomorrow and kinda need to know ASAP.

Also

I am using the JDM air intake tube. Mine has 3 "connections"

1. is for the blow by tube2. is to recirculate the BOV3. I have this smaller connection for a vacuum hose - WHAT IS THIS FOR?

Thanks in advance for the advice

That sucks that you had a bad experience with them. I used to live in Orlando and have had a lot of contact with them, none of it was negative.

I would take the pipe to a shop and have a nipple welded on it. I have a nipple on mine and no problems so far.

I just plugged that small hole on the intake pipe with a bolt. Rather than trying to make a hose fit well for the blowby hole I just plugged it and put a filter on the valve cover.

Yeah, Enjuku's Customer Service, Prices, and Shipping time was great. I was just expecting a little more out of the product than I recieved.

I found a solution to the whole wategate vacuum line thing

I'll cap off that mystery line on the air intake tube.

I have a hose for the blow by that fits it perfectly, so i', good on that end.

Thanks for the advice

I've been cursed in my experiences with enjuku, none of it was really their fault persay, but it costed me time and money nonetheless. I got the same "Sorry" as well along with a large hole in my pocket. They are still a good company with great communication and I still recomend them to anyone looking for a good SR20 store.

I have their hot-pipe and it has the nipple on it. It works great. I had the BOV flange on sideways too, but that was really no big deal was it? Unscrew and screw. Overall the pipe is awesome. I'm sorry yours didn't come with the nipple. Perhaps get one welded on?

I found a way to make it work. Just kinda a pain in the arse. Oh well should get it running soon, just gotta get the timing right so it'll fire up. Ran outa time today, only had a couple of hours and only got the battery relocation and some wiring cleanup done.

I've got a greddy one with the same situation, no nipple on it. I've been told to run a vac line from the fuel pressure regulator. I've also seen some setups running the vac line from the cold pipe.

What flange are you talking about? If it's the BOV there really isn't a sideways.... it's all personal prefrence as to which way you think it looks the best pointing.

And as for the nipple, that's a pretty lame thing to complain about. It's not like it takes a genius to figure out where to take a vacume signal from. I have the nipple on mine and I cut it off and pluged up the hole. I'd rather be getting my boost signal from the Intake manifold (where it really acts on the motor) than from right out of the turbo where it bounces around more.

well excuse me for thinking I was getting something that was pictured on their site.

And it is not a matter of how the BOV looks. Turn the BOV so that the vacuum lines are pointing toward the hood and you tell me if you are comfortable with them being pinched by the hood.

And yes I have figured out a solution to there being no "nipple"

And yes I put the BOV on the correct way. My point is an issue of quality control and selling exactly what you are advertising / show a picture of on their website!

So is that a "lame" enough reply for you?
