Just got my Enjuku racing bov kit. I have to preface by saying i have never had any problem with enjuku, they are always helpful, and they always ship very very fast.

Where to begin.. The cut in the pipe is sloppy, the welding is poorly beaded, the Flange is welded on such an angle that the BOV will likely be 'hanging' on a down angle.. On top of that.. The image on their website shows the pipe having a wastegate nipple.. It does not. It also did not come with any sort of hose couplings.. and being 2.25" pipes, the stockstuff wont fit.

Now i have my car torn apart, no local shops have couplings so i have to go measure & order..

The upside is.. If my car is going to be down.. lets just do the FMIC now instead of later!

Yeah man, that's how I made an adapter for my Autometer water temp gauge, where some of my FMIC piping elbows came from, where my clamps are from....you get the point Chris

it actualy looks like my greddy VSPL has the coupling i needed.. which is odd.. why would it have a hotpipe to turbo coupling?

But i dont care.

I am a slim battery and a 3.5" holesaw away from having a FMIC

I have been happy with enjuku but i got my hotpipe from HT and it was quality. The bov touches the radiator hose barely but it's still a really nice peice...

The enjuku BOV flange is on the opposite side.. it almost touches my intake tube.

I'm sorry to hear about your disappointing hotpipe story. I would just send it back. Waste of $ IMHO. My friend and I just welded an A'pex twin chamber from an FD application onto the stock hotpipe. It's a little funky, but it will work fine. Not to sound like your Dad, but when the time comes make sure you get a metal hole saw, and wear some eye protection! Youlss also want a decent pilot hole, and split some hose to cover the hole's edges. Good luck!

quick question, did you call / email Enjuku to let them know? I think it's always fair to give a business a "warning shot" and let them redeem theselves once before going on a forum and sharing.

After 1 try, it's fair game.

No i didnt, And i'll tell you why. I am not 100% happy with it.

BUT I am not displeased enough to go through the hassle of sending it back.

The pipe would NOT have connected to my SMIC, but it does fit up to my new FMIC.. So while it is kinda short, and not bent exactly right.. I have no reason to return it.

I dont see anything wrong with posting a product review.

It is stainless or aluminum? If its aluminum, send it back. I personally like being able to weld up mild steel. You can do whatever you want, welding aluminum is damn expensive. This is all just in case you would ever want to change your BOV setup. BTW, alot of Japaese cars seem to have the BOV "hang" upside down from the pipe, like you were saying, for some strange reason. Not that you should keep it like that for that reason, but it's an observation I have made.

I'm sure its alluminum.. and if i wanna change setups i'll just sell the pipe.. i can probably get a pretty penny for it on ebay.. it is shiny after all =-).

I'll snap some pictures.

I dunno much about welding...but my hot pipe from enjuku looks good, i mean its kind of beaded, but i dont see anything wrong with that, i mean it will next take more than 20lbs of pressure on it, ill send mine back when it breaks/leaks. One small complaint is that my flange had a small dent near one of the bolt holes, sending the flat face of the flange (say that 5 times fast!) up at the edge, making an uneven seal...i can just bang that down though i guess, it may not even get in the way.

Could it have been better? Yes. Is it the end of the world? no.
