My 95 240sx was the BEST car I ever had. Bought it new in 95...red, auto, sunroof, abs. A FINE ride !! car always started. Original engine smoking at the end. Love to get another RED 95/96. Most Chicago area ones are VERY rusted. Mike Chicago area. Any original owners out there ??

Good to hear that you got that many miles out of your S14 and that you bought it new. You said the car was smoking at the end but you didn't say what killed your car. We know rust as "cancer" for cars around here. I bought my 97' 240sx S14 back in 2001 and was the second owner. It has no rust because I bought it when I still lived in Florida.

Check your local Craigslist if your interested in find a replacement car. Also let us know why your car lost the battle of survival.

So do you still have it? was the rust fixable? If it were me it would mean a lot more to me if I fixed the rust and fixed/ swapped the motor. Did it have a lot of vibrations when you first bought it or did it ride really smooth?

Car had more problems thatn rust although the rockers were totally rotted and the floors to an extent. Original motor was smoking, AC didn't work, and the ignition switch was NO GOOD in the summer. Had to hot wire car to get it started ! Also, had hail damage to hood, roof, trunk lid. Interior was still very decent...incl sunroof and dash, door panels.

I bought the car new and had ZERO vibrations during my entire ownership. very solid cornering. Between hail damage on the hood, roof, trunk lid and LOTS of rust in the rockers and the quarters...also the AC didn't work and the ignition switch was just about due for replacement. Only fenders and doors were still solid.

Still, the entire interior was near Perfect and clean. Needed very little for the interior to be mint(maybe new inner sunroof piece).

I'll find another one !

I'm back...sadly, most Chicagoland 240s have serious rust issues. My had hail issues,too. Both rockers were badly rotted and rear floor was getting soft. Still, the new owner drove it away(with brakes that were shot) !!

Car interior was near mint...dash was factory...

Love to get a 95/96 red...with decent miles and solid history !
