i have been looking cant find harldey any around here. shipping is killing me for freight! I could in theory... remove engine, pull oil pan, remove crank, pull out all rods/pistons. replace rods. then put back togother. right, with out having to pull head apart? rebuild from the bottom.

Probably not. There has obviously been some metal to metal contact that resulted in excessive wear on either/both the crankshaft and rod.. The rod may be out of tolerance and you will need to undersize it and run oversized bearings..

Keep looking for a used KA.

And you will have to pull the head off...

Totally with Cory on this one. Find a used engine and rock on.

my old engine did that same sound but not that loud , my ka had 242k miles,I just went ahead and bought a new ka with 150k miles and went ahead and changed the valve seals and the main seals, compression 165 all across. believe me those things go out quik.
