Enhancing Engine Response?

Hey guys, ive tried searching the forums but came up with nothing.

Can anyone tell me what to mod for enhanced engine response? i have a 89 240SX right now and im going to be swapping in the SR20DET soon but first i want to build up the engine.

honestly, if your going to swap soon, save your $ and spend it on some wise SR upgrades before you drop the motor in. Good luck man.

oh i got cash saved up thats for sure. im going to be purchasing the engine by the end of the week and i already plan on doing a few things i just wanna make sure i can get the most out of it, not only up the HP & TQ but like i said i want really great engine response as well. certain parts made by certain companies?

a lightweight flywheel will do it for you in combination with a better clutch or go with a short ram intake... won't increase much but some.a turbo won't do anything until you get upto like 4000 rpm.a cold air intake takes longer for the air to reach the engine and won't do much till it gets to like 3000-4000 either. flywheel and clutch will do the trick.

or you could really step up your game and put your internals and transmission on a balanced diet.

dump the turbo and build an na motor. you're looking for response, that's how you're gonna do it.
