well I just put a 94 manual engine in a 1991 body and I notice 1 significant difference. There are 2 vacumm boxes on the rear of the valve cover that are not used 1991to 1993 engine.. 94 engine does not have those vacumm boxes. The 94 does have a plug in between the 3rd and 4th intake runner that is not on the 91 thru 93. That is the only difference I have seen. so you will have 1 extra wire from the wiring harness that will not plug up to anything and then the vacumm boxes on the rear of the engine will not have anything plugged into it.

Thanks for that info it sounds like I would be better off just transfering the intake from the 95 to the 91 if that would work ?Would you know if the head and port design are the same ?

Im not sure I know that there have been different upgrades and changes to the KA over years so I am not sure. But make sure you do the timing chain on the one you have

I still used the 91 ecu so rev limiter will stilll kick in. I have to have someone make the exhaust and fine tune everything before I test drive it. But if you check out this link this is what my car is going to look like in about a month. Im still looking for sponsors cause I have put about 5 grand into this car on my own kit 3499 engine 800 and misalanious thing. http://jacquemond.comIf anyone want to get the kit I have a inside connection

The engine is the same but the fuel management and intake are not. The 95 is going to be a partial OBD-II computer, and the 91 is OBD-I. The MAF sensors are differeent as well. If you use the 95 engine but retain all the 91 intake manifold, wiring harness, MAF, etc, then it should work fine.

Thank for that info but I am going the other way I have a 95 240 that I am thinking of rebuilding a 91 motor to use and would like to know what needs to be swapped over like will the 91 head work with the 95 ecu I know the cams are different, will the intake from the 95 swap over to the 91 head any help with all of this would be great.

i cant see why, but it would just a matter of bolts on and off.. althought i'd rather take the 91 cams from the 91 motor and 91 ecu and attach it to the 95... it'd make a better upgrade and the motor is newer so you dont have to fix it that much.
