Was wondering if anyone can supply engineering drawings of the VH45 bellhousing bolt pattern, and the same thing for the Z32 manual trans. You can see where this is going!Found a machine shop in the UK who specialise in converter plates, so taking the bits down this weekend. Would just be easier if I had the drawings.

Sorry, can't help you, but I'm very curious to see this project take shape. Take lots of pictures please.

How much will it cost?I want a plate too.

If it is too expensive, I'll buy the drawings if u can get it in autocad or something like that.

There are places that can stamp a bell-housing out and leave the housing bare for just this purpose. Drill your own holes and burn rubber..

They're called scatter shields...but the dimensions are critical for the pictures above

Wasn't the Q auto trans the same as some Subaru trannys? ...might have a blueprint somewhere ...

Wes, cheers, gives an idea but was really after accurate dimensional drawings. It's not too hard to measure them all up, just takes time.Erbe, not sure on cost yet but will let you know when I do.Cheers

Well, there's that guy in my T-56 thread who manufactured a bell housing for the Tremec. Maybe he has one.

I wonder which 6 speed would be the best to mate to a VH45DE? Has to be strong.

Good point, I'll check that out.I'm just sticking with the 5sp for now. It's simpler and cheaper!

Yeah, but I am wondering if the power will eat the syncros up? T-56 is strong, but crude shifting from what I understand.

Z32s run with 700HP on the stock transmission...... The clutch and the driveshaft are far weaker than anything else!!!!!

Should be fine. As Wes says, some Z32's make huge power & torque on the stock box without problems. In fact I'm sure Jun's 1200bhp record holder used a stock box.
