engine wont crank...

i dont know if anyone already post this but i cant seem to find it...my 91 240sx jus died on me one day while driving from the front street to my alley. i checked spark plugs and fuel. they were ok. when i turn the engine over, it doesn't sound like it has spark. also once in a while there will be this very high pitch squeal for like a few seconds when i try to start her up. please help...
