Ok here is the issue...i took out my upper timing cover to reseal it because it was leaking..i put my timing at TDC like the FSM told me to do..i resealed the cover with permatex ultra gray and it stopped the leak...now i sparyed the engine with some water and i noticed that i didn't cover the throttle body and some water went thru the trottle body and intake...i tried to catch the water with a rag and soke up the water, but it was to late and it went thru the intake... i tried to use some heet to get the water out and thgought i was good..i started the engine and it won't pass 500 RPM's and i tried to accerlerate and it will die on me...there is three things it might be..1. my iacv could be clooged with the water 2. my injectors are full of water and it won't let the proper fuel go thru and 3. my whole intake is full of water and it won't let the proper air and fuel mixture go in..can some of you 240 guru can help me out...thanks...i also did the search and nothing comes up..thanks

I don't see how the injectors could be clogged unless they sat in the water long enough to rust. And they are on the top of the runners, so it would have taken alot of water for anything like that to happen, right?

How much water went in?

Did it go in the throttle body, or the intake tube near the MAF?

it went thru the throttle body. it wasn't that much, i'll say it was at least a 1/8 of a cup.

Honestly, it beats me. My intake manifold is different, so I can't really put my finger on it. I'm not sure how water would pool in there.
