Engine Wiring Harness Question

I had some electrical work done on my 09 Versa Hatch, and I'm wondering if they left off a cover to some wiring. I can see 3 looms of wires plugging into 3 connectors near the firewall. There is no plastic protective box over them, which I think is unusual. Looks like road grit could get into the connections.

Do you guys have the same situation? Those 3 looms going into the connectors have nothing over them, except some plastic tape?

It's to the right and up near the windshield, as you are standing in front of the car and looking at the engine bay.

Maybe this is just how the car is made. Just trying to find out.

I think I know what you are talking about. I added some more tape to mine as there was some dirt in there, so I blew it out and used a bit more tape made it more secured in the process as well.

I stopped by the Nissan dealer on the way to work and was lucky enough to find another Versa hatch in the bay, with the hood up. Looked like an 07 or 08. Sure enough it had the same 3 unprotected looms going into the 3 connectors there. And it looked pretty dirty in there too, unfortunately. I asked the mechanic if there were supposed to a plastic hard cover over those connections, and he said nope, just the plastic tape.

yup we are talking about the same thing, no need for pictures.

My original tape has flake off and I had to re tape it with real electrical tape.
