engine will not start

i just insatlled a ca18det in my car and i am not getting any spark i have contnuity in the wires from the ecu to the ingnitor but the ecu is not sending the power to the ingnotir how do i check the ecu

The pin5 on the ignitor gets earth from pin10, 20, 116, 107, 108 of the ECU side of the ignitor.

Look at this wiring diagram for further insight into what you are doing. If you can't read a wiring diagram, you are definitely in over your head.

Pretty much, if you turn on the ign (not start) the fuel pump should run for 5 seconds and turn off. This is a good enough test to tell you your ECU is ok enough to be running self-diagnostics on.
