OK so i decide to not worry about this for the past year or so but now its just annoying and i want it gone! At around 1500-1800 rpm approximately 45 mph in 5th gear. There is a shake. when your in the passenger seat u wont notice it but when your the driver you can feel the steering wheel shake. And i know it is comming from the engine. Now in 4th gear it doesn't do it as much as it is in 5th gear since its under more load in 5th gear.

What do u guys think it is. I want it gone. Does something need to be adjusted? Its just at that engine speed. All other engines speed the vehicle is smooth.

check engine and trans mounts to see if they r worn, what i don't get is why its so specific to 1500-1800 rpm, u have to elaborate on the steering wheel part, does it feel loose or just like something in knocking? maybe the trans is trying to pop out of gear! tires not gripping the road properly or something along the line of power transfer somewhere

misfire?

No im sure its the engine because its only happens between 1500-1800 rpm and climbing a slight incline at around 40-45 mph which i am in 5th gear. in 4th gear u dont really feel the shake because the engine is under less stress because of the lower gear. but in 5th gear at the same rpm u can feel the engine just shake and you really feel it through the steering wheel. I cant figure out what it is. and i know its not a misfire because one, it would throw a code and two i would return extremely bad gas mileage and ruin many other things. Its been doing this ever since i bought the car and it didnt bother me before but it bothers me now and i want it gone. I probably need my valves lift adjusted or something . or it could be something with my variable valve timming.

Where is nistech!

ok i don't have a manual transmission pathy but i know with my car if i start dipping below 2000 rpm in a high gear it behaves like it wants to shut off because the rpm range is too low aren't u normally in the 1500-1800 rpm when like in first or second how r u able to do that in 4th n 5th is it normal for the pathy?

is it more of a clunk or a jolt as appose to a virbration?

i can usually go up an incline in 5th with the throttle 1/4 way around 50 mph with no problems. its just at the speed around 40-45 mph that it starts to shake. i can be at 30 mph in 5th gear at 1200 rpm and floor it and it wouldnt shake.

Its a continuous shake until u get out of the rpm;s range that i mention. almost like a shake when your tires are out of balance.
