idle air control valve, and the idle speed is adjusted by it opening and closing the valve. a good thing to do would be to disconnect it from the manifold and see if it is clogged, if it is, just spray it with some carb cleaner, and if it has a clog just remove it with like a brush or something.. also The throttle cable on your engine, if you will see the nut on it. if you tighten it it will raise the engines rpms at idle.. like when i got my 240 my engine idled too low also so i just tightened the nuts a bit on the throttle cable. you might not have to check the IACV, just tightening the throttle cable might do it.
