I have a 2002 4wd QX4 and recently had it serviced at a local shop due to the SES light being on as well as a drive ability issue that developed. This problem is not noticeable until around 50 mph, and gets progressively more noticeable as speed increases. At first I thought that the overdrive was not engaging but after doing a little troubleshooting discovered it was not transmission related. To put it in perspective at around 60 mph the engine is turning right at 2k rpm, at 70 it's turning 2500 rpm. The codes that it is throwing is p1140, 1167, and 1058. Now the mechanic said after he pulled the o2 sensor and checked it with an ohm meter and cleaned it off that it was no longer throwing the 1167, or 0158 I will however confirm this when I take it to the local vatozone and have them scan it for me. Which if what they say confirms what the mechanic is telling me I am left with the infamous 1140 DTC. My question is this, would this code affect the engine in the way I am describing? I understand that this is an intake timing solenoid, but would it affect the engine to the degree I am describing? As soon as I take it to the Autozone and get the codes read again I will update this post. Thanks for the help.
