Oh I'm pretty sure I know what's on there, I had a conversation with Sami about it a while ago From what I heard from him it should be a very good source of info for people that are looking into making the jump into EMS tuning.

Would you say that someone who is pretty computer savy would be able to jump in their car on a dyno after watching this dvd and give their car a basic tune confidently does it break it down step by step for the novice??

I'm not sure how much engine theory the dvd goes into, but I would reccomend that your pick up a book or two that goes into engine tuning in depth. My favorite book that I have read was "How to Tune & Modify Engine Management Systems" by Jeff Hartman. It gives you a great background on how changing one thing will effect another. Then this dvd should be able to take the theory and then relate it into how to tune with the AEM system. Drifintg.com, let me know if I'm wrong on this.

I jumped into the AEM system after playing with a few other tuning platforms before, and while it took a while for me to figure out where everything was, it is by far one of the most powerful systems that I have ever had my hands on. You can also go to their website forum HERE and download the software to play with and get familiar with before you actually get your system.

tuning for power AND reliability varies for EACH motor and it requires experience so ONE DVD alone is not enough. this was a strong point of discussion throughout the production

however this documentary will help you understand how the software operates while a car is run on the dyno

Drifting.com has produced 12 DVD's since 2007 and to be clear, this is ONLY the FIRST DVD in the ENGINE TUNING SERIES; We intend to release 1-2 MORE titles because it would take about 6-8 hours to cover the content. The first DVD is going to be well over 2 hours.

have you watched the teaser? that is the best way to understand the DVD formathttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5LgJMuqEaM

Actually yes I have a ques. I hope its not a stupid one ima tryin explain it as best I can Ok say im in the fuel map the bottom line is the rpm breakpoints and the vertical axis is Load breakpoints in kpa so is it pressure Or just give a a brief explanation of how you would know which cell too fill in for load . I get the Rpms . and I knw how to highlight the whole colume or row or even table to plus or minus fuel . Im just not understanding how do I knw which cell to go to individually based on Load . I hope you can help thank you .. Im ordering my video later today by the way.

good question,do you know how to read the data logs?

also, you can not order the DVD right now because we need to provide AEM with enough time to review the content so please add your name to the email list for now

thank you!

No im not familiar with data logging ok I just opened up my aem data log to mess with it tell me if im reading it right ok I chose 3 plots engine load vs. engine speed vs. AFR now as I drag the vertical line across the recorded data by the way I am just using the AEM Sample data log right now my lap top is broke nd cant data log my car at the moment. Ok so on the top right it displays the rpms , afr , and engine load and based on the load at that rpm whether it may be an afr too rich or too lean that how I would pin point that cell ..... Please correct me if im wrong I am extremley interested in tuning AEM and that was my first time ever going into the aem data logger.
