Engine transplant

I am in love with nissan's 3.0 turbo diesel found in the patrol GR

would like to know if this engine could be transplant into the nissan armada......not worried about speed just to make it work

if anyone can do this please send info .....cost

would like to do the transplant here in the US then ship the car to jamaica

as far as i know, the 3.0l diesel is not available in america. you would have to source the motor and parts from another country.

Not a problem to source the motor can get one from nissan japan for a good priceJust want to know if it is easily done and what are the drawbacks?what parts would I need?If you know aplace in Miami where it can be done let me knowThank you Paul

i dont know why you would want to replace the 5.6 with the 3.0 diesel.

you would need the motor, transmission, ecu, all sensors, wiring harness, its transmission.

you probably going to have to remove all the wiring from the VK56 and its auto trans from the armada. you going to have to have motor mounts and trans mounts custom fabricated to bolt the motor in. the wiring for the diesel needs to be run in the armada.

your also going to need a driveshaft and entire exhaust system custom fabricated.

the 4 cylinder 3.0 diesel is also only 160hp, 261 lb/ft torque.

the VK56 is a much better engine. 305 hp, 385 lb/ft torque.

The 3l has had some engine problems & I wouldn't be in a rush to get one.

The fuel pumps give out if any low quality diesel has been used & I'm now hearing that the heads are cracking! (in Australia)

If I can find more info, I'll let you know.
