Engine/Transmission Whine on 06 M45

Anyone notice a whine from the transmission or possibly the engine at low speeds in low gear. I was able to really hear it if manual mode in first gear at about 3-4k RPM with windows down. Sounds a little like a supercharger whine but I know I don't have one of those....is this normal...anyone else?

(Oh and those of you who want to answer with "Well don't do that" please refrain)

Since you visit dealers every 90 days [or should] to allow them to find defects that they can charge Nissan to warranty repair. What does dealer say?

That's the same sound my '01 750il made shortly before the transmission dropped. $5000 dollars later I switched to an '06 M45.

Yes, you will find the M45 transmission to be about $900 less expensive to replace than BMW/MB at current YEN vs $ vs EU.
