I have been reading a few post and think I may have a valve tick similar to others. I have a 1993 D21 with the KA24E engine and have a very constant engine tick from he top end. Definitely sounds like a rocker or lifter tick and not a timing chain issue.

Is there a good step by step posted on this site for fixing ticking/stuck lifters? I assume that may be my issue and thought I should try that first. Never tried to fix that before so I definitely need some guidance.

Thanks

There's that, but apparently pouring seafoam into the engine's crankcase is supposed to dissolve the built up sludge in the lifters and get rid of the noise. I recently did this to my single cam KA as well as running some through the brake booster vacuum line and the noise went away, then came back. But the noise does seem to go away if I have more gas in the tank. I think I am going to seafoam again but run the car for a longer period of time before changing out the oil.

Here is a guide on seafoaming if you are interested: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/how-to ... t-way.html
