i noticed that when driving on the hi-way the engine temp needle goes to almost full cold, its gets very close to the "C" mark on the temp. gauge, and the needle is bouncy, and when i get off the hi way and drive local, the needle is around the half way mark, a little below..

also when i boost on the hi way the needle drops down to the "c" mark..

this is bad i know but why is it doing this?

im thinking ither air in my cooling sys, or a bad coolent temp sensor..

also on cold starts the car goes up to alittle below the "h" then drops back down to the center, but thats only on the first start up for the day..

sigh.. the problems continue

Wow...under a load on the highway it shows cold...LOL. Thats a good radiator setup bro

Does it show cold when you get on it around town? Could be a ground or short somewhere in the wiring. The Coolant sensor is cheap, swap that dude out.

Sounds like you could have a stuck open thermostat. Does it take your car a long time to warm up?

You can check for this by seeing if your car has coolant flowing when you first start it. Open the rad cap and see if its mixing around, it shouldnt be moving.

I have the same thing with my temp sensor being bouncy, idk exactly what it is. However it always bounces down, the goes back to its normal spot so i just ignore it.
