If you look closely you can see the rod bearing shavings in the pan.

Damn man that sucks! Looks like that other motor I got, although you caught it before the bearings got completely destroyed.

Also looks like you were hitting the valves, I would take a look at the valves and check for damage as well.

Worn out motor with 166k of abused miles. The timing tensioner was stuck open as well. Added JWT ECU, 740cc injectors,Z32 MAF, Zeitronix wideband and SAFCII. 2 weeks later kocking noise

head looks good, I imagine my motor will look similar though. I hope I don't need a new friggin crank, or custom bearings after having the crank journals fixed.

I was real suprise not to see any ring land problems. The pistons look fine other then the valves hitting them. I didn`t take the crank out yet. I am going to let the machine shop to that.

I'm really shocked it wasn't a spun bearing. Who would have thought the timing chain would jump instead.
