I have a friend who is a mechanical GENIUS helped alot with my install that is opening a shop for engine swaps and import upgrades in or around Albany, New York. Anyone looking for help let me know. Very reasonable prices as he is just starting out.

What kind of parts is this friend going to carry? And for what engines? I live in NC so that wouldn't be too far away to order things!

Depends on the demand. I dont know if he is going to carry anything just yet, but I am sure he might be able to get them. Email me a list and I will see what he can do.

I am pretty sure that I could figure that out if he couldn't, I figured out most of my RB25DET alone.

I had the RB in and running for about 20 minutes then found out that the head or the camshaft was messed up and the whole top end of my motor grenaded. Waiting on a new head to finish it off.

I am not too sure, what gauge cluster are you using, what aftermarket gauges are you using, how do you want your fans wired, to a manual or temperature activated switch, one or two fans, wired together or on seperate circuits, Email me all the options and the vehicle and I will see what we can do. I am sure we can work something for you. I would love to see the RB26DETT sitting in a 240. I am sure I can get you a good deal either from him or me just for the pleasure of working with Godzilla! Let's make it happen

Do you happen to have pics of the install, or if you could give highlights on what extra parts were needed and what parts were most important. It is very hard to find specific info on this swap. I am doing this swap in about two weeks and I need to know all of the specifics before I am up the creek w/o a paddle! Thanks for any and all help!!!!

gonna do a quick hijack

a r33 rb26 motor wont have many, if any wiring diffrences than the rb25.

everything relavent to the motor that is diffrent than a rb25 is contained within the EFI harness.

this is totally untrue if you are talking about a r34 GTR.

still getting my funds together, and slowly by parts like fuel pump, modied oil pan, cat, gt spec exhaust , peacing together a battery relocation kit, and other stuff

Jon, i am proable going to do it real simple no guages, still wanting mckinney to put out the RB26DETT DYI kit ie custom downpipes, and steering rack mod, etc , planning to buy the conversion box for the speedo and tach, and going to use dual fan with thermostat for the KA radiator

Let me know when you are ready, I would LOVE to be involved.

Kamin, are you speaking from fact or speculation, I don't see how wiring an R33 or R34 would be all that different. The concept is the same for both motors. All I could see that might be different would be MAYBE wire colors, I can't see much more being different. I could be wrong though.

On another note,

When do you plan on having your project ready to go?

I dont see any reason that I couldnt. I can probably install your motor in 1 day and then I would have 2 days to work on the wiring. When are you thinking of doing this?
