Engine swapping a 280xz (1979)

What could be up in it really?I have a project car and im not sure what to put in the car.What would be a engine that could be put in without alot of frame modifications?Just seeing whats out there, or some advice in a direction :]

well, you can built the stock L28, high compression, stroker whatever suits your fancy and budget, you can swap in the 81-83 280ZX Turbo engine (L28ET) it's a direct bolt in even bolts to your trans, although you'll want the clutch and flywheel from the turbo to hold the extra power

if you want to fab mounts then the options are limitless, you can swap in a VG, RB, domestiv V8, rotary, whatever you like, the chassis is pretty swap friendly, some engines fit better than others

Actually a rotary swap seems like a nifty idea.I checked around and not to much info.I checked hybirdz. They had a little info.

What all would need to be check, or done prior to an engine swap.Even a link would be fine, My search skills are not the best. lol.

sorry I don't know much aobut rotary's except they are small, majic power barrels, and they consume oil, and if you don't know how to rebuild one or know someone who can you have a broken rotary

step 1, remove your od engine trans, wireing, etc, step 2 locate rotary int he engine bay, step 3, fab engine and trasn mounts, step 3 make majic power barrel work

Haha.Its just a thought that seems cool.So i very well may be a rotard But I think its time to go find my buddys broken rx7.
