Hi guys,I've got a '92 Q with TCS and high miles. I can get an engine from a similarly equiped totalled '94 Q with low miles. Is there a problem with doing a swap? What should I be looking out for? Or, did the engines change much from one year to the next?

Thanks in advanceTrevor

knowing that you are probably looking for a quick answer tonight....the answer is "no" (almost positive). 90-93 swapable with 90-93 cars. 94-95 engines different (CAS, injectors, etc.) I can't tell you why specifically it will not work as I am not an expert, but for an answer tonight there you have it.

"totalled" you say??? so is this a car that is being parted out. If so let us know more details about it and post it in the "infiniti general" thread as I am sure that myself and others will be scavenging parts off of it.

As rsiwicki said, would you be able to pass on the contact info of the owner of the salvage Q?

LOL.. the man mentions "totalled Q" and the vultures come from their nests.

From a fitment stand point, yes it will fit, but it will not "work" because the 90-93 and 94+ use a different wiring system, along with the different sensors corey metnioned.....

So what's "high"??

I've got 230k and wouldn't bother with a swap... figure there is another 70k there at least
