Swapping just to swap is death in most situations. But most of those commonly start with 'not a car guy'.
I say that having done many swaps but back in the '70s and '80s where they were whoppingly easier and far less problematic. Transmissions are commonly matched to the exact power of the engines and going higher tears them up quickly even if they do fit. So many other things change based on engine type it's like you need a donor wrecked car now for all the extra parts needed. The SR there is the top of the line 4 do you would be max changing to a v-6 there if anything.
It CAN be done but the completion percentage by the type of owner freely admitted to here would be in the single digits if you ask me, best way to take an almost new car to make sure it never runs again there is.
Not trying to be mean at all, but I used to work in a race shop and have some firm idea of what is required there, and owner skills figure in at the very top.
