are you doing that just to get lower miles because the 2000 to 2001 max has the sam motor with some things different.

the only main difference it that the 00-01 is a VQ30DE-K (00Vi). it has the variable timing. your best bet would be to search MEVI and do this swap. lot cheaper and still some of the same gains.

The VQ30DE-K came rated at 222hp.

Variable intake not timing.

Swapping to a 00 variable intake is still less expensive than the MEVI (I believe). And besides that, I don't know of anyone still selling the MEVI stateside.

Here is a thread regarding the intakes and differences in the VQ30s.zerothread?id=213099

my bad. 00Vi. variable intake.

scott, with the 00Vi he would have to do an ECU swap, right? if so, the MEVI would be less expensive in that case. i dont know. swaps blow.

yeah man it would be cheaper and less work to just keep your motor and build it.

You can swap the ECU, but it is not mandatory.zerothread?id=121423
