are ypu guys joking or are you for real?

When I was not sure if I had the guides done, I tried to stay as low as possible, always below 2000.

When I found out the guides had been done by a previous owner, I still drove under 2000 because I did not want to incur the cost of replacing an engine or transmission. So you guys are saying I should have driven that puppy hard?

If maintained well, a trip up to teh torque peak and redline is good.

I generally drive mine like it's a Lincoln. Getting on to the Interstate today, I kept it in a lower gear and let it get up to 5500 rpm at WOT. Blew some greyish crud out. Same acceleration on the way on the way back, nothing. It was warmed up for 15 minutes when I did the runs.
