Just research more and don't worry about which engine choice is the most common and stuff, then pick whatever you like. That's what I did.

1jz has my vote... And if you buy a 1jz Soarer front clip and it comes with the 5speed transmission... sell it to me >:[

Find out what's right for you. I went with the SR not because "everyone's doing it", but because it was easy to find the motor, parts were plenty, and it was the most economical choice for me. K.I.S.S.(keep it simple stupid) works for me, but you do what's right for you.

well since its a DD, then id say ka-t... parts will readily be available compared to an rb or sr.... vq and jz will be expensive and a b**** to swap

just do ka-t and be done with it

hey guys thanks for all your comments, most likely im going to go with the KA-T. Its more reliable on parts and better for a DD like HoosierSX said. I will keep you guys posted
