Engine Swap. Ga or SR harness? Cut Where?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Im trying to visualize what i have to do to hook a sr20 in my ga16 powered automatic sentra. both are odb2 so i know it should work . ive been told that i need to use a wireing harness from a NX2000 or Ser. but can i use one from a G20 or would it take some splicing. Id rather not splice, id rather it all be just plug and play. Also is there anything aftermarket i can use like an adapter that can go between my new sr-ecu and my Ga- wires? If not I just want to know what to use and where i shouldnt cut.

ok so i do also know i can use a G20 harness. i guess im just wondering how do i know where to stop and cut the wires or do i have to cut them at all. or is it all just going to the ECU or Super multiple Junction?

SR harness will simply take the place of your GA harness. The same goes for the ECUs. No reason to splice anything together.

On a further note - the g20, and nx2000 harnesses will NOT work directly... g20/nx is a different chassis (p10/p11 vs n14 vs b13/b14)the dash plugs are different(among other small harness differenes). If you get a b14 se-r main engine wiring harness it will plug right into all of the stock dash plugs with no cutting.

Also - you do know that the sr20 won't bolt up to any of the ga16 stuff right? You need new mounts, axles, and a new transmission just to get started.
